The Challenge:
AsBuilt was contracted to perform laser scanning, modeling, and design engineering for the installation of new air compressors and dryer equipment in a new location. The project also required scanning and modeling of an additional area outside the compressor room.
The Solution:
AsBuilt conducted laser scanning of the compressor room and additional areas, ensuring accurate capture of structural elements, equipment, and utilities. The scan data was processed, and quality assurance checks were performed before being packaged into point clouds for modeling. The 3D models were created to represent the as-built environment, which allowed for design and placement checks of the new equipment. Clash detection was conducted to ensure proper fitting within the current environment. A construction drawing package was then delivered, including general arrangement drawings and piping isometrics for fabrication and installation.
