The Challenge
AsBuilt was contracted to laser scan and model a client's home, including both the exterior and interior of the property. The exterior scanning also required capturing the structure and a fenced yard area.
The Solution
AsBuilt 3D laser scanned the entire home, incorporating all structural, equipment, and utility details to create as-built 3D models. The scan data was processed, quality assurance checks were performed, and point clouds were packaged for modeling. 3D modeling was used to convert the point cloud data into modeled shapes representing structural members, key equipment, utilities, and other relevant items. The models were then checked against the point cloud for accuracy and delivered to the client in the agreed-upon format.
