The Challenge
A commercial real estate client owned a 22 year old building without record drawings. The client was planning to sell the building, but the buyer was demanding accurate as-built drawings and 3D modeling to confirm the building's square footage.
The Solution
AsBuilt 3D laser scanned the exterior of the Building for the purpose of generating a flat surface square footage report. AsBuilt scanned the building exterior from ground level and the elevated parking deck. 3D modeling was created which included all exterior walls of the building. A detailed report showing exterior wall elevations, dimensions, and square footage was delivered to the client.
