A hydroelectric dam operator required accurate as-built documentation of the intake system to support upcoming equipment upgrades. The Solution
AsBuilt was contracted to capture the true as-built conditions of the dam intake arrangement using high-resolution 3D laser scanning. All required field data was collected within an 8-hour site window, minimizing operational disruption and exposure to hazardous conditions. The scan data was processed and converted into an accurate 3D model within two weeks, providing the project team with a reliable digital representation of the intake system for design and planning.
